Dr Evangelos Pappas
VC Professorial Research Fellow (RMIT)
Dr Evangelos Pappas is a distinguished academic leader, clinician, and researcher specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and athletic knee injuries. With a focus on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, his research utilises clinical, biomechanical, and epidemiological tools to advance prevention and treatment strategies.
In addition to his leadership position at the Joint Vision Institute of Orthopaedic Research, Dr Pappas is a VC Professorial Research Fellow at RMIT University, Director of the MedTech Research and Innovation Hub, and has previously held leadership roles as Head of the Discipline of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy at Long Island University.
At RMIT, Dr Pappas is committed to leveraging the MedTech ecosystem in Victoria to drive advancements in musculoskeletal health. He collaborates with researchers, PhD students, and industry partners to integrate cutting-edge technology with clinical insights, delivering transformative health outcomes and pushing the boundaries of orthopaedic research.
